November 11th is Armistice Day and the End of the First World War

Armistice – Europe celebrates the Armistice of the First World War, signed on November 11, 1918, in a wagon stopped in the forest of Compiègne (Oise). After four years of struggle, this treaty puts an end to the fighting, recognizing the Allies’ victory and the Germans’ defeat.
