Omid Asgari is a Jethro Civil Diplomat, Professor at the School of Business of Economics at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Greenment Group dedicated to preserving the environment by returning to nature the soil that the industrial revolution stole. We strive to improve the air, stabilize climate change, reduce carbon dioxide, increase clean world oxygen levels, and improve the health of people and animals through our sustainable agricultural and architectural solutions.

At Web Summit Portugal 2022, Professor Omid and Greenment Tech were nominated for the Best Start-Up Award and a Unicornio company in Lisbon. The award event was attended by the President of Portugal Mr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa for the delivery of the Unicorn Prize to selected startups with the best sustainability project. Unicorn Factory aims to attract and support startups, creating wealth, diversity, and renewal in the economy.

The Unicorn Factory Lisboa aims to expand support for the entrepreneurial ecosystem to promote technology companies’ accelerated and sustained growth. It is a platform of programs and hubs that intends to support startups and scaleups in creating products and business models that are “disruptive”. The objective is to take companies of any nationality in their early days to a global scale – and, eventually, to become “unicorns”, that is, companies valued at at least one billion dollars.

The Sustainability Project developed by the Civilian Diplomat follows the 2030 Agenda for the sustainability of the European Union and the United Nations. As Professor Omid declared on his social network Instagram: A single step for Greenment and myself and a big step for humanity. The green sense of life starts with inner sustainability. We fight to make the world a better place to live.
