PORTUGAL: COLONEL JOSÉ GERALDO AT SEMINAR ON THE LINES OF TORRES AND THE FRENCH INVASIONS

Jethro International Director in Portugal, author and poet José Geraldo will present a talk on the French Invasions and the historic Lines of Torres.

Colonel José Geraldo, Director of Jethro International in Portugal, author and poet, will be one of the speakers at the seminar “Lines of Torres during the French Invasions”, taking place on 22 September 2026 at the Lisbon Geographical Society.

His presentation, entitled “The French Invasions and the Lines of Torres”, is scheduled for 11.20 am. The subject also holds a special place in his literary work, as José Geraldo has written a book of poetry dedicated to this historic period.

The seminar brings together historians, researchers and specialists to explore the military, cultural and historical importance of the Lines of Torres Vedras and the French Invasions of Portugal.

The programme also includes historical re-enactments, presentations on military and historical tourism, debates, an exhibition and a documentary display dedicated to the period.

The event runs from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm at the Lisbon Geographical Society, with free admission.
