Brussels, October 17, 2024 — Jethro International, a Global Humanitarian Civil Diplomacy Organization, and the prestigious ceremony for the Certification of Humanitarian Civil Diplomats.
This event was held at the Prins Albert Club in Brussels, the capital of the European Union, and brought together an audience of distinguished guests and influential figures in the fields of Diplomacy and Humanitarianism.
The esteemed Guests of Honour and Hosts for this event: Mr. Josue Fort, Benelux Director of Jethro Civil Diplomat Organization, and Mr. Patrick Van den Eede, European Director of Jethro Civil Diplomat Organization.”
Jethro International’s Mission: Civil Diplomacy in the Service of Humanity
The ceremony, which focused on Humanitarian Civil Diplomacy, was an opportunity to highlight Jethro International’s efforts to promote diplomacy based on exchange, peace and international cooperation.
The organization, present on all continents, has the mission of certifying civil diplomats who are able to navigate with authority in the public and private spheres, while promoting sustainable change for a better world.
Mr. Patrick Van Den Eede, the European Director of Jethro Civil Diplomat Org., opened the ceremony by expressing his gratitude to the guests and emphasizing the importance of Civil Diplomacy as a powerful tool for building bridges between cultures and nations.
“Today, we celebrate men and women who have chosen to dedicate themselves to humanity, breaking barriers and acting for a more just world,” said Mr. Van Den Eede.

Martin Luther King Awards: Honoring Inspiring Humanitarian Leaders
The Martin Luther King Award from Jethro Civil Diplomat Org is one of the most prestigious distinctions presented to several eminent figures in the humanitarian world.
This award, driven by the ideals of justice, freedom and non-violence dear to Dr. Martin Luther King, aims to reward individuals who have left their mark on the world through their remarkable humanitarian actions.
These personalities, were chosen for their exceptional contributions in the fields of humanitarian aid, received their insignia and credentials in recognition of their efforts for peace and justice.
- Mrs. Jeannette Ongbassiongloki, director of SOS Children’s Villages in Cameroon, was the first to receive this award in recognition of her work with orphaned children and children in vulnerable situations. This organization, active for more than three decades, works tirelessly to offer a new chance to children abandoned or separated from their families.
- Mr. André Pakulski, the President of the Fundacja Polonia International, a pioneer of humanitarian aid in Poland after the martial law of the 1980s, was also honored for his role in transporting humanitarian convoys from Belgium to Poland, providing medicine, food and clothing to populations in need.
- Mr. Serge Heine, police inspector and creator of the Jana Fund, was rewarded for his commitment to young women fleeing situations of domestic violence and forced marriages. The Jana Fund offers shelter and support for these women, allowing them to rebuild their lives far from the dangers of the past.
A Promising Future for The Jethro Civil Diplomacy
The event ended on an optimistic note, with speeches of thanks and congratulations from the organizers and the laureates.
Mr. Van Den Eede praised the commitment of the new Civil Diplomats from Jethro, offering them his wishes for success in the humanitarian projects they will carry out around the world.
“Today, you are called to lead actions that bring about change, to act for the most vulnerable, and to inspire entire generations to continue this noble mission,” he said.

Jethro International continues to play a key role in promoting the development of humanitarian projects through its Civil Diplomats.
