Milan: a European Ceremony of Humanitarian Honour by Civil Diplomat Jethro Org.
Milan, regarded by many as the global fashion capital and admired across Europe for its refined cultural character, design and social innovation, transformed itself into the capital of Civil Humanitarian Diplomacy.
The city glowed with its characteristic cultural splendour as the Civil Diplomat Jethro International hosted its Solemn Session of Humanitarian Civil Diplomats Condecoration and the Martin Luther King Award, at the iconic Regione Lombardia on 28 November 2025.
This solemnty turning an already iconic European metropolis into a stage for leadership, service and humanitarian purpose, honoured leadership, humanitarian service and civic commitment.
The event took place on Via Fabio Filzi, one of Milan’s best-known central avenues, home to institutions that help shape political, economic and cultural life in Italy.
Bringing this ceremony into such a symbolic public building reaffirmed the growing presence of Civil Humanitarian Diplomacy in Europe.
Leadership at the Head Table
The official table showcased leading figures from Italian civic and political life.
The head of the solemn session was Dr Bruno Romeo, Civil Diplomat, Institutional Representative of Civil Diplomat Jethro International Milan, Presidente at Sindacato ASEU, and Expansion Director of Jethro International in Italy. His presence offered the ceremony its institutional strength and local diplomatic identity.
Alongside him sat distinguished authorities:
- Debora Dell’Acqua, Vice Coordinator of Fratelli d’Italia Lombardia
- Riccardo Decorato, Member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies
- Mattia Ferrarese, Consigliere di Municipio 3 – Milano
- Cristian Garavaglia, Regional Councillor of Lombardia
Their participation elevated the solemn session to a moment of national significance.
A Ceremony Conducted with Excellence
The evening was gracefully led by Luciana Rodrigues, Civil Diplomat of Jethro International and digital producer.
Known for her work in communication and institutional events, she conducted the entire ceremony with clarity, elegance and professionalism, guiding guests through each stage of the programme.
Her participation symbolised Milan’s bridge between tradition and digital innovation, an identity also reflected in her professional career.
Condecoration of Humanitarian Civil Diplomats
The solemn session advanced with the official condecoration of Civil Diplomats, a recognition anchored in international conventions and judicial decisions around the world .
The newly certified Diplomats:
- Ketilin Prudencio dos Santos – ID 8723
- Heliete Gouveia da Silva – ID 7440
- Wanderson Moraes Gentil – ID 8724
- Rochester Rodrigues – ID 8121
- Paulo Vinícius Ferreira Zimmaro – ID 8745
Each received their credentials and insignia directly from Director Bruno Romeo, who highlighted the honour and responsibility entrusted to every new Jethro’s Civil Diplomat.
Expansion Directors: Strengthening Jethro in Europe
The evening also included the nomination of new Jethro Expansion Director, leaders responsible for supporting Diplomats across Europe. Daniela Dias Zanfonato, recognised for her work in strengthening humanitarian action networks in Italy. She received the nomination by the hands of Mr Edison Dias, Director of Institutional Relations at Civil Diplomat Jethro Org.
The Martin Luther King Award: Honouring Humanitarian Lives
One of the most emotional moments was the conferment of the Martin Luther King Award, Jethro International’s highest honour.
After an institutional video on the legacy of Dr King, the awards were presented by Director Bruno Romeo to distinguished humanitarian figures:
Laura Vasselli
Recognised for her decades of work in animal protection, environmental education and community support through Associazione Bollate a 6 Zampe.
Lívia Chiesi
Celebrated for her lifelong dedication to humanitarian assistance, supporting vulnerable people and collaborating with organisations such as CBM Onlus, Lega del Filo d’Oro and Medici Senza Frontiere.
Each honouree received a medal and commemorative frame, followed by brief words of gratitude.
Looking Towards 2026: The World Meeting of Civil Diplomats
The ceremony concluded with an invitation to the 2026 World Meeting of Civil Diplomats, which will take place across European seas in September 2026.
The promotional video shown during the event offered a preview of the international gathering that will bring together humanitarian leaders from several continents.
Closing Remarks
In his closing speech, Director Bruno Romeo expressed deep gratitude to all Diplomats, organisers and distinguished authorities.
He celebrated the commitment of each participant and reaffirmed Milan’s role as a leading centre for the growth of Civil Humanitarian Diplomacy in Europe .
The atmosphere in Regione Lombardia reflected the spirit of a city that continues to influence Europe not only in fashion and culture but also in civic engagement and humanitarian innovation.
